pnw adventure #14
🧠point no point!
at the kitsap peninsula’s far north end lies the point no point lighthouse and park. it offers views not only of whidbey island across puget sound, but also of curious harbor seals mere yards off-shore!
we enjoyed strolling along the beach and nearby forest trail, plus just hanging out identifying birds with the merlin app on sominnguy’s phone. and although we didn’t take advantage of it, it looks like you can rent a room at the historic lighthouse keeper’s quarters — could be fun to do someday!
in may 2026 i had the opportunity to work & play in western washington state for a couple of weeks. this is the 14th of 18 mini-adventures i took with southern minnesota guy as we made the most of our time in america’s beautiful pacific northwest!
my trail name’s mythic and in 2026 i’m continuing my multi-year thru-hike (m.y.t.h.) of the pacific crest trail. as i prepare to return to the pct (and hopefully tackle other section- and thru-hikes in the future), i'm going on day hikes to help keep in trail shape!
