pnw adventure #12
🧭 millersylvania state park!
i’ve got some really cool in-laws out on the west coast, including a very special dog-in-law; there’s no way i was turning down a chance to hike with them during our pnw trip!
full disclosure: we picked millersylvania state park because the name sounded groovy. turns out the park itself is pretty groovy, with tons of hiking trails through old-growth forest, a gorgeous lake, and tons of camping, fishing, and beach frolicking spaces for those so inclined.
in may 2026 i had the opportunity to work & play in western washington state for a couple of weeks. this is the 12th of 18 mini-adventures i took with southern minnesota guy as we made the most of our time in america’s beautiful pacific northwest!
my trail name’s mythic and in 2026 i’m continuing my multi-year thru-hike (m.y.t.h.) of the pacific crest trail. as i prepare to return to the pct (and hopefully tackle other section- and thru-hikes in the future), i'm going on day hikes to help keep in trail shape!
