🧭 brewery park @ tumwater falls!

it isn’t a long hike but every step of the brewery park trail, hugging and crossing the deschutes river canyon, offers incredible views & sounds of roaring & rushing waterfalls!

the park is owned & managed by the olympia tumwater foundation, which opened its gates to the people of tumwater in 1962. it sits on the former grounds of the olympia brewing company, the history of which is quite complicated but worth looking up. there’s almost always a good story behind a brewery!

in may 2026 i had the opportunity to work & play in western washington state for a couple of weeks. this is the 11th of 18 mini-adventures i took with southern minnesota guy as we made the most of our time in america’s beautiful pacific northwest!

my trail name’s mythic and in 2026 i’m continuing my multi-year thru-hike (m.y.t.h.) of the pacific crest trail. as i prepare to return to the pct (and hopefully tackle other section- and thru-hikes in the future), i'm going on day hikes to help keep in trail shape!
