🧭 bloedel reserve!

wow. just... wow. the gardens and grounds of the bloedel reserve on bainbridge island are almost indescribably beautiful.

this 140-acre masterpiece has been open to the public since 1988, guiding visitors along lush forest paths, over immaculate lawns, and past stunning flowerbeds. all that, plus you can tour the lovely bloedel family mansion, now a visitor center.

just search for synonyms of the word “gorgeous” and you’ll get the idea. :)

in may 2026 i had the opportunity to work & play in western washington state for a couple of weeks. this is the 7th of 18 mini-adventures i took with southern minnesota guy as we made the most of our time in america’s beautiful pacific northwest!

my trail name’s mythic and in 2026 i’m continuing my multi-year thru-hike (m.y.t.h.) of the pacific crest trail. as i prepare to return to the pct (and hopefully tackle other section- and thru-hikes in the future), i'm going on day hikes to help keep in trail shape!
