🧭 gazzam lake nature preserve!
the people of bainbridge island created the 300-acre gazzam lake nature preserve as a place of “passive recreation” (hiking and quiet appreciation only) to minimize human impact on the area’s abundant & varied wildlife. so hike and appreciate we did!
in may 2026 i had the opportunity to work & play in western washington state for a couple of weeks. this is the 6th of 18 mini-adventures i took with southern minnesota guy as we made the most of our time in america’s beautiful pacific northwest!
my trail name’s mythic and in 2026 i’m continuing my multi-year thru-hike (m.y.t.h.) of the pacific crest trail. as i prepare to return to the pct (and hopefully tackle other section- and thru-hikes in the future), i'm going on day hikes to help keep in trail shape!
