day hike!
☃️ kilen woods state park!
on november 8, 2025, we got our first snow of the season so of course southern minnesota guy and i wanted to go out and play!
we headed north of jackson, minnesota — traditional territory of the Očhéthi Šakówiŋ, Yankton, and Wahpeton nations — to tromp around one of many lovely parks situated along the des moines river as it flows through minnesota and iowa.
my trail name’s mythic and in 2025 i continued my multi-year thru-hike (m.y.t.h.) of the pacific crest trail. as i make plans to return to the pct (and hopefully tackle other section- and thru-hikes in the future), i'm going on day hikes to help keep in trail shape!
