trail talk!
in my time on the pacific crest trail so far, i’ve learned you’ve got to stay agile — not just with the physical aspects of hiking the pct, but the mental as well.
when i got off-trail in 2022 i hadn’t quite completed washington, so i was really looking forward to wrapping up the section the next chance i had. fast forward to two summers later, and i was closely monitoring the growing wildfire situation near stehekin while driving west from minnesota. literally hours before returning to trail, my tramily and i were forced to abandon our plans — both for our own safety and that of all of the brave firefighting crews.
making the best of the situation, however, we quickly flexed down to oregon to salvage our trip. you’ll see how those oregon miles turned out in the final two “my pct so far” videos coming soon!
