🗺️ lebanon hills regional park!

our autumn weekend getaway to the twin cities wrapped up on a very special note, hiking at lebanon hills regional park on the south side of the metro!

covering nearly 2,000 acres of woods & lakes across two distinct east/west sections, this free public greenspace features 21 miles of hiking trails, 11 miles of mountain bike trails, 10 miles of horse trails, 3 miles of paved trails, and a 3-mile canoe route.

southern minnesota guy & i hiked a bit over 8 miles in our 4 hours at this beautiful park, and we’re already scheming a return this winter for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing!

shameless cross-promotion: as we mention in the video, coming up on friday, november 13th is the 13th annual They Might Be Playing They Might Be Giants, a 12-hour celebration of TMBG on KMSU 89.7FM in mankato. it’s a lot of fun, and you’re invited to tune in or stream online as the two of us and our dj pals Tim & Shelley take requests from listeners across the country + around the world! check out TMBG.LOVE for event details.

lebanon hills is located in dakota county, minnesota — home to indigenous speakers of the Dakȟóta (Western Dakota), Dakhóta (Eastern Dakota), and Lakȟótiyapi (Lakota) languages.
