🐢 hidden falls regional park!
hiking stop #2 in our early-october twin cities metro weekend was hidden falls regional park, in st. paul along the mississippi river.
it was a short hike but full of highlights, including an impressive stone staircase (kudos to anyone who counts how many steps i took climbing up it!), the innate beauty of the mighty river, and absolutely stunning murals celebrating the Dakota people.
i almost always recommend visiting our hiking spots, but this truly was extra special — you’ve got to see these murals with your own eyes!
hidden falls is located in ramsey county, minnesota — home to indigenous speakers of the Dakȟóta (Western Dakota), Dakhóta (Eastern Dakota), and Lakȟótiyapi (Lakota) languages.
