next stop: the pct!
🛣️ on the road from minnesota to mammoth lakes!
it’s finally pct time again!
time for me and southern minnesota guy to pack our bags and make the 1,800-mile drive back to california, continuing my multi-year thru hike of the pacific crest trail!
last year my southbound hike ended at kennedy meadows south, when a confluence of circumstances took me off-trail before i could attain my goal of hitting the southern terminus at campo.
rather than resume where i’d last left off, i decided to complete a couple of stretches i’d skipped in 2025 for safety reasons. first up: the gorgeous peaks & valleys of the sierra! (the final 700 miles of southern california desert will have to wait for another time. perhaps next year??)
in this video i briefly introduce myself to new subscribers, give an overview of my plans for this year’s adventure, share a few of my favorite youtube hikers, talk about my support for the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center, and more!
my trail name’s mythic and in 2026 i’m continuing my multi-year thru-hike (m.y.t.h.) of the pacific crest trail. as i prepare to return to the pct (and hopefully tackle other section- and thru-hikes in the future), i'm going on day hikes to help keep in trail shape!
