🧠manchester state park!
this park’s highlight might normally have been “early 20th century torpedo warehouse”, but these were no ordinary circumstances — they were BLUE MAGIC circumstances!
long-time followers of my adventures will remember blue magic as my hiking partner on many pacific crest trail miles in 2022, 2024, and 2025. life is always better when we’re together, and i’m so glad i got to hang out with her a little in washington!
even better… blue magic plans to join me on the pct again when i return to knock out another few hundred miles later this summer — stay tuned!
in may 2026 i had the opportunity to work & play in western washington state for a couple of weeks. this is the 16th of 18 mini-adventures i took with southern minnesota guy as we made the most of our time in america’s beautiful pacific northwest!
my trail name’s mythic and in 2026 i’m continuing my multi-year thru-hike (m.y.t.h.) of the pacific crest trail. as i prepare to return to the pct (and hopefully tackle other section- and thru-hikes in the future), i'm going on day hikes to help keep in trail shape!
