pnw adventure #3
🧭 belfair state park!
belfair state park on the kitsap peninsula looks mostly to be an RV camping destination, but as simple passers-by we enjoyed walking around the heavily wooded grounds & hood canal tidal flats, and encountered lots of interesting flora & fauna to identify! plus southern minnesota guy shared his very nuanced & educational views on oysters and salmon!
in may 2026 i had the opportunity to work & play in western washington state for a couple of weeks. this is the 3rd of 18 mini-adventures i took with sominnguy as we made the most of our time in america’s beautiful pacific northwest!
my trail name’s mythic and in 2026 i’m continuing my multi-year thru-hike (m.y.t.h.) of the pacific crest trail. as i prepare to return to the pct (and hopefully tackle other section- and thru-hikes in the future), i'm going on day hikes to help keep in trail shape!
