my pct so far: part 9
the name of the game in hiking is flexibility.
this was the case once again during my brief 2024 return to the pacific crest trail, including changing plans after trashing our car’s tires while scoping out some really rough forest service roads looking for trail access points!
making up for lost time after getting new tires (we should’ve known our old ones wouldn’t survive such serious off-roading!), southern minnesota guy shuttled us to various trailheads so we could slackpack a few portions.
even with having to constantly be so logistically agile, oregon was an incredibly beautiful delight, and it was awesome to be with my pal, blue magic, and my sister-in-law as i completed my first 534 miles of this legendary trail.
but guess what? the next time you see me on the pct will be NEXT MONTH as i return to (hopefully) finish my multi-year thru-hike this summer & fall!
