my favorite trail breakfasts!
hot meals in the morning aren’t worth it — change my mind. 😉
i know that a lot of long-distance hikers can’t imagine hitting the trail in the morning without at least first brewing a cup of coffee, if not making a bowl of oatmeal or some other hot breakfast item.
my preference is to sleep in a bit, pack up my tent, and just start hiking… slowly, of course. somewhere in there i’ll take a moment to quickly eat a granola bar or something, but rarely anything that requires boiling water or clean-up.
in this video i share my most common on-trail breakfast items, and a “heat up” option i’m considering. what are your favorite trail breakfasts?
